From Provocation to Project: How An Reggio Emilia Inspired Approach Engages Children in Learning

Description: In this workshop you will learn about how an Reggio Emilia inspired approach uses provocations and projects to engage young learners. Through case studies and interactive activities, you will walk away with ways in which you can implement the provocations to projects approach in your classroom. 

Presenter: Nicole Beaudry, University Liggett School

Presently a kindergarten teacher at University Liggett School, Nicole Beaudry has been a teacher since 1996, teaching preschool (three and four year olds), young fives, kindergarten, and fourth grade. Nicole has also been a personal tutor for students in grades K-12, specializing in math. Nicole attended the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) on a full athletic scholarship and received her teaching certificate and special education endorsement from Michigan State University.A mother of now three young adults, she believes they give her the perspective into teaching, engaging with, and planning for young learners.
