POWER HOUR - Introduction to T-POT Observation Tools

During this session, attendees will explore the following key concepts:
Participants will gain an understanding of the purpose of T-POT observations, the structure of the observation process, and how the tool is used to assess implementation of Pyramid Model practices. The session will also introduce the major observation components, documentation procedures, and best practices for collecting objective, reliable data that can support coaching and continuous quality improvement.
Learning Objectives
Participants will have the opportunity to
- Describe the purpose and structure of the T-POT observation tools, including how they support assessment of Pyramid Model implementation in early childhood classrooms.
- Identify the key components of the T-POT observation process, including observation categories, indicators, and documentation requirements used to collect objective evidence.
- Apply basic observation practices by distinguishing between objective and subjective observations and recognizing strategies that promote accurate, reliable data collection during classroom observations.
